Lasiodora parahybana
Lasiodora parahybana originates from South America, most specifically Paraiba Brazil where it is endemic. L. parahybana is a popular species to keep for it's rather docile nature, yet naturally large sizes as adults. Averaging easily around nine inches, yet has been known to grow up to ten or even eleven inches in size. It's claimed to be the third largest tarantula species discovered. Adding to the fact that their egg clutch sizes can have numbers between one and two thousand and it is easy to breed, it makes it a very affordable species to obtain.
It's common name is the Brazilian Salmon Pink Bird Eater though there is little evidence suggesting it actually eats birds in the wild. It's primary diet consists of large insects and small lizards. L. parahybana is the third species that we obtained in our collection.
