Grammostola pulchripes
Grammostola pulchripes originates from Argentina and Paraguay. It's common name is the Chaco Golden Knee and is known to reach an average of eight inches in size. Because of it's coloration and commonly docile nature it's one of the many species suggested for beginners to the hobby.
This species was the fourth for us to get and add to our collection. Ours has had a voracious appetite when not fasting, loves to excavate her enclosure and move things around. At times she even acts more like a trap door spider, waiting right at the entrance of the den she's made and barred closed, waiting for something to walk over it before she will snatch it and disappear into her hide with her meal.
