Caribena versicolor
Caribena versicolor was originally known as Avicularia versicolor until just recently when it was changed from Avicularia to Caribena. C. versicolor originates from South America. It is an arboreal species known for making it's webs among tree branches and leaves as well as crevices in tree trunks and other similar places they can find.
Known in popularity for it's docile behaviors and beautiful colors it's commonly one of the first arboreal species beginners are drawn to. From it's stunning black and blue coloring as a sling, to it's equally beautiful green, purple and slightly pink coloring as adults. C. versicolor was our first tarantula that we started with and will be a species we plan to keep often for it's beautiful colors and calm temperament.
