Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens is also known as the Green Bottle Blue and most commonly referred to as the GBB in the hobby. It is a very popular tarantula species for it's beautiful and rather unique coloration as slings. As well as it's impressive web building capabilities that it has. This is a semi-arboreal species that originates in Venezuela. It makes it's webbed burrows in bushes and tree roots in the desert areas of Northern Venezuela. Known to be somewhat difficult to breed in captivity due to the need to replicate the 'rainy' season that they originate.

C. cyaneopubescens is the sixth species that we have obtained. Though it's known to be very quick and flighty ours seems more calm and laid back by comparison. It also seems that if given the chance this species will use loose dry moss and twigs in the area to construct it's webbing making it a lot of fun to keep and watch.
